In 2013, we took the responsibility!

Carrying forward, our belief, of always promoting and helping young minds and their talent we organized a student contest in Mumbai city. The exam was conducted to look for young and bright students in the city. The top students were awarded by Rao IIT.

The contest was conducted in three stages:

Stage 1:More than 40,000 students appeared for the test on 11th, 15th, & 18th August 2013 at 25 locations in Mumbai.

Stage 2:The Top 100 students were selected from the candidates. The list of top 100 students was declared on 21st August and these students appeared for a separate second test.

Stage 3:Top 30 students were shortlisted on 1st September from stage II for the final round. The final round was conducted on 8th September 2013 at The Residence Hotel and Convention Centre. This comprised of personal interview of the student with eminent personalities from the fields of science & technology. These eminent personalities included Dr. Murti, who is the former professor & Head, Dept. of Physics, (IIT-Madras), Dr. B.V. Rao, Founder and Chairman, Rao IIT Academy and Dr. M. Ranga Rao, Ex-Head, Dept. of Mathematics (IIT-Bombay). The final ranks were announced on 15th September 2013 and the winners were felicitated.

1st Rank - Rs. 10,00,000 cash prize
2nd Rank - Rs. 6,00,000 cash prize
3rd Rank - Rs. 3,00,000 cash prize
4th Rank - Rs. 2,00,000 cash prize
5th Rank - Rs. 1,00,000 cash prize (2 students)
Consolation Prize - Rs. 25,000 cash prize (3 students)
